Yamaha created a new digital piano to mimic acoustic piano precisely. The piano called as the AvantGrand hybrid piano. The AvantGrand uses the same key, level, and hammer mechanism of an acoustic piano. Priced at about $20,000, the piano has four speakers located on its soundboard and it also features pedals with the real sensation. It’s expected to hit stores in July 2009.

Yosuke Yamashita, well known Japanese jazz musician, playing burning piano for 10 minutes until the piano went quiet. I don’t know what he wanted to express, but I can’t enjoy the melody he played.

“I had decided to keep on playing until the piano stopped making sounds, so though I did not mean it but it ended up having a life-or-death battle between the piano and myself,” said Mr Yamashita.
