The founding members of The Beach Boys, one of the world’s most legendary bands in popular music history, have reunited for a global 50th Anniversary celebration, including a new album release, a major international tour, and commemorative catalog releases. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – HARMAN’s DigiTech today announced the introduction of the iStomp pedal, an entirely new concept in guitar stompboxes that allows musicians to program the effect pedal with any sound they want – and change it at any time. Offering almost limitless sonic possibilities, the iStomp connects to an iPod Touch®, iPhone®, or iPad® enabling musicians to load the effect of their choice into the iStomp.

The new album of John Mayer, “Born and Raised”, will be released on May 22. But the first single, “Shadow Days,” will hit iTunes starting March 6. The album production is a result of collaboration between John Mayer, Don Was, and Columbia Records. David Crosby and Graham Nash are on vocals, Chuck Leavell on piano, Sean Hurley on bass, and Aaron Sterling on drums. Jim Keltner makes a special appearance on drums on “Something Like Olivia.” Rounding out the touring band are David Ryan Harris on guitar and vocals, Doug Pettibone on guitar and Michito Sanchez on percussion.

John Mayer will do an 18-date spring tour that kicks off April 9 in Bloomington, IN. Stops on the tour include Detroit, Providence, Buffalo, Memphis, Kansas City, Las Vegas and Phoenix. He will also be performing at South By Southwest in Austin on March 17, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 29.

The violin has been owned and played by the world-renowned conductor Lorin Maazel for the past 66 years.
